Hold on the Sidebars

windows

From a post on Lifehacker, I was reminded of the ability to open a URL in the sidebar. To most this may seem a bit of a nuisance, but for those of us who are constantly clicking back and forth between tabs to check on a site, this may be an easy solution.

1. Right-click on… the URL… and then bookmark it.
2. After you have saved the bookmark, go back to the Bookmarks Menu and right-click on the bookmark. Choose the Properties option.
3. Now check the box that says Load this bookmark in the sidebar.
4. The next time you open that bookmark it will popup in the sidebar!

Where this may not be as cool as PIP on a TV, it is a nice way to allow for multi-tasked browsing. Granted you may want to remember to turn it off when you are done.🙂
